Somerleyton Estate

The beautiful Somerleyton Estate, situated in Suffolk, is a majestic house, which stands on the site of an original Tudor/Jacobean mansion. Owned by the Crossley family since 1863, the Hall was rebuilt in 1920 and is available for hire today for weddings, conferences and much, much more.

For a unique family holiday, why not consider hiring the entire hall for your own personal use? With room for seventeen guests, each bedroom is filled with antiques and heirlooms, providing a truly authentic feel. In addition, both the Hall and gardens will be available for your personal use, allowing you to have free reign to enjoy the stunning environment. As if that wasn’t enough, a chef, housekeeping and events team will be on hand to cater to your every need! Additional accommodation is present in the Lakeside Lodge or at the boutique Fritton House Hotel.

If you’d like a smaller base for your accommodation, then why not consider hiring one of the Fritton Lake Holiday Lodges? With every lodge having a view of the lake or the surrounding woodland, there is a choice of 2,3 and 4 bedrooms. Each lodge includes a deluxe bathroom and a fully fitted kitchen as well as a comfortable living area. The lodges are based just a few minutes drive away from Great Yarmouth Beach, the Norfolk Broads and Suffolk Heritage Coast and are just 20 miles away from Norwich, with its shops, restaurants and bars. Prices for the lodges range from £353-£1050 per week.

The Somerleyton Estate makes the perfect place for a wedding reception. The on-site events team will be more than happy to help you cater your wedding to your every need, ensuring you have the day of your dreams. The reception itself can be held in the Winter Gardens in a marquee, or in a location of your choosing around the Estate’s 14-acre gardens.

For these events and many more available on the Somerleyton Estate, all information is available from Rural Estates.
