In 1920 the Hall was rebuilt under the watchful eye of Sir Peter Fitzosbert replacing the original medieval Hall. Over the centuries this country house has been restyled and extended into the magnificent Hall as it stands today. The Estate and all its enterprises have been owned by the Crossley family since it was acquired by Sir Francis Crossley in 1863.

Nowadays there is an abundance of things to do and enjoy on the Somerleyton Estate. You come and stay in luxury at the exclusive Fritton House, or enjoy some leisure activities at Fritton Lake including, croquet, football, rounders, a nine-hole golf course, picnic areas, fishing, horse-riding, rowing and guided boat trips, to mention a few.

A visit to Somerleyton gives you the chance to explore what makes the Estate so very special.
