Built around the 13th century, the Chapel is deemed as the most significant building at Stonor, the Chapel is a private, Roman Catholic chapel that stands as it does today due to the care of the family, ensuring its significance is not lost.
An enjoyable visit can be made to the Ancient Church of St. Bride which holds the Douglas Families tombs and Scotland's oldest working Town Clock whoch dates back to 1565.
The dramatic history of the Church will never be forgotten at Newby and this fascinating building creates a strong impact on many of it's visitors, the wonderful stained glass window and the Churches architecture together with the buildings past ensures an interesting visit.
